The term "reversibly polarized connectors" is used when, for example, a standard cable plug has a female center contact instead of a pin. Reverse polarized connectors are mainly used in WLAN networks and are available in three different series: R-SMA connectors come with a threaded coupling, are vibration resistant and can be used at frequencies above 6 GHz (depending on the type). Impedance is adjustable at 50 ohms.
Sealing of the end surface for the series between the pin and the socket (paired) meets the requirements of IP 68.
