RG-58/U cable design
Structurally cable RG-58/U consists of:
- stranded copper central conductor (0.9 ± 0.02 mm, 19x0,18±0,015)
- internal dielectric made of solid polyethylene with a diameter of 2.95 ± 0.05 mm
- outer shielding layer – copper braid with a tinned coating with a diameter of 3.40 ± 0.1 mm
- outer protective sheath made of black PVC plastic (4.95 ± 0.15 mm)
Electrical characteristics of the RG-58/U cable
Wave resistance: 50 ± 2 ohms
Linear capacitance: 101.05 pF/m
Relative speed: 66%
Dielectric strength: 1400 V, SCZ

Mechanical characteristics of the cable RG-58/U
Minimum single bending radius: 25 outer diameters = 123.75 ± 0.20 mm
Operating temperature range: -25...+70 oС
Storage temperature range: -10...+60°С
Packaging and labeling
The cable is supplied in coils with a nominal length of 500 m.
Upon request, it is possible to cut the RG-58/U cable into shorter lengths.
Compatibility and analogues
The RG-58E/U coaxial cable is part of the G1 cable group and is similar in size to the following widely used types of HF coaxial cables: 7806A, 9907, CNT-195, HPF 195, KX 15, LMR-195, WCX195.
