A new generation of antennas with improved suppression of side lobes

Radiation in the vertical plane consists not only of the main lobe, but side lobes are also inevitably present. If the antenna has some electrical inclination of the directional pattern, then the upper side lobes can radiate in the direction of the horizon, thereby interfering with the cells. Antennas with improved suppression of side lobes (ESLS antennas) are designed to prevent interference not only with the first upper side lobe, but also with all lobes in the 20 degree sector. These antennas are particularly useful in the process of optimizing 3G (UMTS) networks.

Antennas of this series are capable of suppressing the first upper side lobe up to 25 dB, and in the 20-degree sector up to 20 dB.
