Corrugated coaxial cables (feeders)
Appointments
Designed for transmission of high frequency and power signals with lower losses compared to other types of transmission lines. Such feeders, as a rule, are used to connect transceivers of base stations and repeaters to antennas in mobile communication systems, as well as transmitters to antenna systems in television and radio broadcasting centers. In addition, corrugated coaxial cables are used in distributed antenna systems (DAS) to provide indoor radio coverage of buildings and premises.
Construction
The outer conductor of the feeder is made of copper corrugated pipe to ensure the possibility of its bending during transportation and installation without reducing the electrical properties. Foamed polyethylene is used as a dielectric material to reduce input losses. The inner conductor is made of a copper tube or solid wire, depending on the diameter of the cable. To protect against external influences, the cable is covered with an outer sheath made of black halogen-free polyethylene or fire-resistant plastics, depending on the customer's requirements.
Standard dimensions
You can order corrugated coaxial cables in the following sizes:
1/2″ (pronounced one-half-inch feeder or half-inch cable)
7/8″ (pronounced seven eighth inch feeder)
1 1/4″ or 5/4″ (pronounced one and a quarter inch or five fourths inch)
1 5/8″ (pronounced one and five eighths inch)
There are the following variants of the protective shell:
Ordinary polyethylene that does not release halogens and corrosive gases.
